 5 Master shots

Contrast

In contrast, I was trying to convey how I'm usually quiet and tired to people I don't know well, I was during zoom meetings by having me have heavy eyes and almost falling asleep. While in other shots, I was fully awake and was contacting my friends extremely hyper and loud because I feel more comfortable around them. For expressing shots of boredom, I used more of a still shot where the camera's wasn't moving to have a more serious feel to it. When I'm with friends, I was being more interactive by having myself record with unsteady hands to show something was happening in the game I was playing with my friends.

Parallelism

For parallelism, I was showing myself getting up for a little break so that I could quickly get a snack and continue on my work. With the chair being kept at the same position, I used it as my subject to convey that time has passed. Once I came back, I had a Fruit by the Foot and my PlayStation 4 controller in my hand to show that things didn't went the way I wanted to and I wasn't able to come back to do my homework for a long time.

Simultaneity

In the scene with simultaneity, I used myself and my dad and what exactly what we do at the same time. My dad begins to play his music at an extremely high level that could be heard in the house. In the other side, I was struggling to focus on my homework because of the extremely loud music. I put the audio down while editing to stress the fact that this music was indeed extremely loud. As I'm struggling, my dad is ironically buying more vinyls to buy and listen to so he can repeat the cycle over and over again, while he is bopping his head to express his joy. With this never ending cycle, my work could never be finished and it'll be like this for quite a while.

Symbolism

With symbolism, I'm still struggling to do my homework. I decided to look around my room to pass the time. During the scene, I was looking at my various merchandise from a particular video game I like. I used various shots for this scene to stress that these items are all related and very important regarding to the scene. Finally I showed the video game itself plus the PlayStation 4 logo to indicate the big reveal of what all the items I used as symbol had it common. While I was showing these symbols, I was using the ticking of a clock as a transition to smoothly changed between these objects. Then I cut to me deciding to play it and got distracted again. To show how much of I fool I was, I put some circus theme over my fast foward gameplay to show I made quite a stupid choice.

Leit Motiff

With leit motiff, I was once again struggling with homework. I heard of this rumor going around of how video games music have actually speed up the time to do the homework. With showing the highlighted statement in the article, I indicated that music was soon to be played within the next few seconds. I then cut to myself typing in the name of the particular song I like from a video game called Mario Kart Wii. Once I showed the thumbnail of the song, I begin to play the actual music itself. After showing the title for a few seconds, I then shot my blank unfinished homework. By transitioning from uncompleted to completed, I used the "ding" sound effect from the actual song itself, by zooming into the unfinished work to zooming out to the finished work to show that the statement of video games' music actually works.
